Jay Scott Berry Vaults Over Major Acts As Single Zooms

Oct. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Los Angeles, CA ---International singing sensation Jay Scott Berry moved by leaps and bounds past major super stars such as Usher, Bruno Mars and Coldplay on FMQB’s AC Top 200 Chart this week with his second hit single, "Solitary Man." Zooming up an amazing 34 points to # 68, Berry also vaulted over major label acts on the New Music Weekly’s October 21 competitive Hot 100 Chart, hitting # 22 above Katy Perry, Daughtry and another International super singer, Enrique Iglesias.  “Solitary Man” has already hit the #1 position on the Independent Music Network Mainstream charts.
 
“Jay Scott Berry is making his mark as one of the hit makers of 2011,” commented Masika Swain, Associate Editor of New Music Weekly, a leading industry trade publication. “No doubt there is much more to come in 2012, but in the meantime, radio is embracing him and the charts from the Hot 100 to Top40 to Hot AC show that fact.”
 
The facts are that Berry is # 15 on the Hot AC Main, # 8 on the Hot AC Indie, # 15 on the Top40 Indie and moving up to # 32 on the tough Top40 Main Chart, topping Coldplay, Grammy winner Lady Antebellum and once again, Enrique Iglesias. But this is not new territory for Berry who saw his debut single "Please Come to Boston" travel the same successful path making him the newcomer to watch, look and listen to in 2011.
 
By any measure, 2011 been a banner year for Berry, who also runs his own Indie record label, Wedgetail. It all began in Australia with an 18 show run at the Tamworth Music Festival, the largest music event in the southern hemisphere. This was the perfect warm-up for his extended European tour, which began in March and continued through July. “It’s all very exciting," Berry admits. “We had some very ambitious goals set for this year and it hasn’t always been easy going. I’ve got to give a big thank you the great team behind me. Together, we’re bringing this whole project up to speed.”
 
With at least four more singles still to come off Berry’s acclaimed album Keepsake, all this momentum is set to continue well into 2012.
