The Bay Area Ambassadors never appeared to be much of a threat to the stronger SD Flash. The Flash dominated time of possessiona and shots on goal.

The third Flash goal came in the 87th minute. Larry Emeanua again beat his defender along the sideline. In 4 matches this season, this was the first shutout for Goalkeeper Justin Meyers.

Head Coach Warren Barton said "I could tell early on that we were the better team, but in sports you never take anything for granted. We were only up 1 - 0 in the 1st half. I felt we could have scored a few more times. At  half time, I told our players to keep pushing hard to the final whistle. We are happy with the outcome and look forward to our upcoming match back home in San Diego next week."
