SCS Engineers Hires Two New Employees to Expanding San Diego Office

New EPA greenhouse gas regulations increasing service demand

April 26, 2011 - PRLog -- SAN DIEGO, Calif. —SCS Engineers has welcomed new employees Alissa Barrow and Alana Causey to its team to extend service capacity across the environmental firm’s expanding departments.

The new hires allow the SCS team to continue efficient delivery of services to existing clients while allowing them to navigate new business opportunities that the EPA’s tightened greenhouse gas emissions regulations have spawned for the field services department.

“As a leading environmental consulting firm, it’s critical that SCS employees be privy to EPA-mandated practices and have the ability to grasp complicated subject matter,” says Mr. Daniel Johnson, vice president of SCS Engineers. “The two newest additions to the SCS team are exemplary professionals and we’re assured that having them on board will add to our ability to provide excellent service that is in line with regulatory standards.”

Alissa Barrow serves as an associate professional in SCS’ environmental engineering practice and brings her experience from several successful Phase I environmental site assessments and subsurface investigations to the firm. She graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering and successfully completed OSHA’s training for EPA-approved hazardous waste operations and emergency response.

Alana Causey has an extensive background in editing and writing for technical subject matter and is SCS’s new technical editor and production coordinator. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Communications from the University of California Berkeley.
