UVA Continues to Dominate UV LED Market

April 28, 2011 - PRLog -- UV curing applications are fueling the UV LED market accompanied by an increasing number of chip supplier in Asia.  According to Yole Developpement’s new report, “UV LEDs business is expected to grow from $25M to more than $100M in 2016 at a growth rate of almost +30%.” This growth will largely be attributed to the growing popularity of UV LEDs. Key UVA applications include: UV curing, document and banknote verification, and photocatalyst air purifiers. UV curing is a particularly dynamic and important application for the UVA lamp market.
