Canada’s First Holistic Pharmacist Focuses on Healthy pH

April 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Canada’s first holistic pharmacist, RoseMarie Pierce, B.Sc. Pharm. will be in Calgary to deliver two free public talks that teach people about “The pH Connection to Happy Hormones & Strong Bones.”

After earning her degree in Pharmacy from Dalhousie University in 1972, RoseMarie integrated her pharmaceutical education with her extensive studies in herbal medicine and went on to become Canada’s very first Holistic Pharmacist.

“As a Holistic Pharmacist, I create well-balanced “prescriptions” for good health that include diet, lifestyle, nutritional supplements, exercise and attitude along with the possibility of integrating medications when needed. But so many health problems can and should be corrected simply through the way we live our daily lives.”

“Most people are perpetually over-acid. This chronic acid state creates an internal environment that promotes many preventable diseases including osteoporosis, arthritis, hormonal problems, indigestion and even cancer!  Medical science and pharmacology are just beginning to recognize that to live a healthy life we need to balance our pH to be more alkaline.”

Using her pharmaceutical and nutritional expertise, RoseMarie has researched the pH connections to good health and will present her findings to the public in a series of free community talks.

Her free public talk will be at Community Natural Foods on Thursday, May 5 from 7 pm – 8:30 pm. She will also be appearing at Community Natural Foods on Friday, May 6 from 11am-1pm to answer health questions. Both these events are free and open to the public.
