Company Of Angels Celebrates The Art Of Filmmaking

Company of Angels screens several short films exploring the complexities of the human spirit in Nightingale… an evening of short films on Thursday, July 7 at 8pm, 501 S. Spring Street, Los Angeles. Tickets to the event are $10 at the door.

June 16, 2011 - PRLog -- Company of Angels, L.A.'s oldest not-for-profit theater company, will screen several short films exploring the complexities of the human spirit in Nightingale… an evening of short films on Thursday, July 7 at 8pm in its Black Box at The Alexandria, 501 S. Spring Street, Los Angeles.  Tickets to the event are $10 at the door.

Among the films to be screened:
ANNIE IN THE AISLE OF IRMA Three generations of dysfunctional women seek unconventional means of change.  Directed by Tess Sweet.  Starring Lynn Freedman, Sandy Martin and Suanne Spoke.

JUCHE RULES  A journalist's absurd and terrifying tour through North Korea. Inspired by true events.  Directed by Kristina Romero. Written by Mark Niu. Starring Roy Vongtama, Ryun Yu, Charles Kim, Brent Tyler.

RAIN SOON COME  Attempting to make contact with her recently dead mother, a budding clairvoyant summons her estranged grandmother. Written & directed by Shawn Hinds. Starring Richard Azurdia, Bernadine Durham, Charlotte Musengwa, Baadja Odums, Darren Schnase, Grace West.

SPARK  A dystopian coming-of-age tale in a world where clean air is a precious commodity. Written & directed by Bridget Palardy. Starring Sanam Erfani, Daniel Flaherty and Britt Lower.


WHAT IF… During pillow talk, two lovers discover there's much more to strip away.  Directed by Taylor Hawthorne. Starring Tamika Simpkins and Hari Williams.


YOU’VE GOT JUNK MAIL  A woman of faith turns to her inbox to find love.  Directed by Raul Jocson. Starring Sharon McWilliams.
