The annual award, which honors companies who are leaders in marketplace trust, recognizes Service Foods for its commitment to community service

June 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Service Foods, a leading provider of all-natural foods for home delivery, is proud to announce that it has been honored with a Torch Award for Community Service by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Metro Atlanta, Athens and Northeast Georgia.

The Torch Award honors companies who are leaders in marketplace trust. Each Torch Award winner embodies BBB’s vision of an ethical marketplace where buyers and sellers trust each other. Torch Award recipients value honesty, respect, integrity and transparency in daily business transactions.

The annual awards luncheon was held at Villa Christina in Atlanta, where the 2011 Torch Award winners and first runner-ups were announced. John Sours, administrator for the Governor’s Office of Consumer Protection, was the keynote speaker. Twenty-nine companies of excellence competed in three categories: Marketplace Ethics, Customer Service and Community Service. Categories were based on the number of employees, and winners were chosen from a panel of three judges who are experts in the field of ethics. Service Foods (http://www.ServiceFoods.com) was honored as the first runner-up in the Community Service category.
