K.Tek Systems CEO Named Finalist for Tampa Bay Business Journal 2011 BusinessWoman of the Year Award

Their call for nominations led to a record breaking pool of 360 applicants of which only a select fifty-two were named finalists by a distinguished panel of judges.  Those candidates were separated into eight different categories ranging from Education to Manufacturing to even Non-Profit/Social Services, based upon the information they provided which detailed the candidate’s relevant work history, community involvement, accomplishments, and the importance of relationship-building both within their particular organization and with clientele. Kimberly During was selected as a finalist in the Technology category for her unique contribution to the field which spans almost two decades. Furthermore, the Tampa Bay Business Journal also posed an introspective question to the nominees regarding their personal experiences with how they’ve dealt with adversity and overcome obstacles during their careers. A cocktail reception presented by the BusinessWoman of the Year Award sponsors will be held for the fifty-two finalists at Neiman Marcus at International Plaza in Tampa on August 4th. This will lead up to a formal gala which will be held to honor all of the finalists on Friday, August 19th at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort and Golf Club in St. Petersburg, Florida. Each finalist will be honored by the presentation of individual video interviews highlighting their specific business achievements as they walk across the stage in recognition.  A winner will be announced from each category and of the category victors; an overall winner will then be chosen and deemed the 2011 BusinessWoman of the Year.  Regardless of which female business leader emerges victorious on August 19th, the entire K.Tek Systems team is proud that their CEO’s accomplishments have been acknowledged by the business community.
