Stand & Salute American Heroes Is The New Name For The American Patriot Program

July 6, 2011 - PRLog -- We are PROUD to announce a new name for “The American Patriot Program”…… "Stand and Salute American Heroes" will be our new name.  Of course we will continue the same great mission by honoring our Combat Wounded Veterans at sports venues around the country.  

“Stand and Salute American Heroes” is effective immediately.  This  is merely just a new name for The American Patriot Program.

Sunshine Roth, will be the National Director of this major project.  “Stand and Salute American Heroes” will be overseen and operated by "Our Fallen Soldier" which is a 501 (c) 3 Non Profit Organization.  Our Fallen Soldier has held a 501 (c) 3,  since 2006.  OFS was founded by Jack Colnot and his daughter Kelly Luisi after Jack’s son Sgt. Kyle Colnot was killed in action in Iraq on April 22, 2006. Our Fallen Soldier (OFS) is a on-line memorial website that is maintained by the Colnot family.  OFS also assists “Gold Star (those that have lost someone in combat) families” and children across the nation.  

Through OFS’s work with military of all branches around the country OFS became painfully aware of the tremendous stresses Military families were facing on a continual basis. Thus, in late 2009, "Our Heroes Journey" was born as a major project of Our Fallen Soldier, as a way to assist the lives of our active military and their families that have faced multiple deployments in the last several years.  Kelly acts as the National Director of this project.

“Stand and Salute American Heroes” (SASAH) will work through the passion of sports by American people, at sporting events around the country to HONOR our Veterans and Combat Wounded.   It is a time for them to be recognized for their service and sacrifices to our country in front of thousands, at these events.  They have served and given so much to ensure the Freedom and liberation of others, it only seems fitting to recognize them this way.

“Stand and Salute American Heroes” (SASAH) will continue to work with Major League Baseball teams and the National Hockey Leagues across the Country.  We will also be adding other sports to our honor venues in the near future, as our program continues to grow.

As we step away from the TAPP name, we would like to reflect on the great program it was.  TAPP did so much to bring HONOR to our veterans and combat wounded by honoring them at sports venues. It will live on in the hearts of all who were honored by TAPP and all who were a part of TAPP.

“Stand and Salute American Heroes” will continue the great work of TAPP as we move forward with a new name.  We will continue to honor one Combat Wounded Hero at a time.  On major holidays, we may have the occasion to honor several Veterans at a time.  The primary mission is to NEVER let their serve and sacrifices be forgotten.

SASAH has MVP’s “Most Valuable Partners” as we like to refer to them.  They are truly the backbone of our events.  These individuals, companies and corporations big and small from around the nation provide special gifts to our recipients at these events around the country.  These gifts are presented at the sports venues around the country during these honor events.  These gifts are truly special.  We really appreciate the efforts of our MVP’s to tirelessly work to make these events memorable to our veterans and combat wounded.  

SASAH has an upcoming honor event on July 17th, 2011 at the San Diego Padres game.  We have been preparing for this honor event for several weeks, and we are very excited about it.
