Aug. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Three high school student-built motorcycles will be auctioned off at The Iron Horse Hotel on Thursday, August 25, as the inaugural year of BUILD commences. The hotel served as the conduit for connecting teams of local high school students with faculty advisors and bike-savvy mentors. Together the teams were given $2,000 and 90 days each to rebuild a vintage Honda CB 160. Three bikes funded by The Iron Horse Hotel will be sold via this voice auction in The Yard on Thursday August 25th. Bidders can also win a winter getaway at The Iron Horse Hotel, a tasting dinner for eight with Chef Jason Gorman and more – with all money raised being donated back into the program.

Honda CB 160s are classic vintage café racers and have become cult favorites among motorcycle enthusiasts. The three up for auction represent a wide range of styles, indicative of these chameleon-like, race-worthy bikes.

Paddles to bid can be purchased for a $25 tax-deductable donation to the program. Your paddle includes a place to bid in the auction and a free pint of Lakefront Beer. For more information on the specific bikes in the auction, please contact Nan at 414.750.7298.
