Black Enterprise Magazine Partners with Jersey Girl Sports to Host "1st & Flirty" at Golf and Tennis

This year's Black Enterprise Pepsi Golf & Tennis Challenge continues to be the largest and most successful African American sporting and lifestyle event with over 1,200 participants each year. Understanding that not all power plays occur in the boardroom, the Golf & Tennis Challenge provides not only a venue but also a platform for networking, entertainment and relaxation.  This year, Black Enterprise added this football 101 event hosted by Jersey Girl Sports through Jersey Girl Sports University (JGSU) known as 1st & Flirty. JGSU is the place to learn all-things sports offering the game basics and much more. Not only are women able to be the sexy 'Jersey Girl' at the sports bar or the game-she will also be one who can learn the game, speak the game and be the game!

The event takes place Thursday, September 2-6 at the newly renovated Doral Golf Resort & Spa.  Celebrities such as Ledisi, Ne-Yo and Wyclef Jean are confirmed attendants .  Because of the corporate heavy hitters and innovative entrepreneurs in attendance, Golf & Tennis has gained the reputation of being the premier African American power networking event in the country.  Angela Davis, co-founder shares, "We are excited to partner with Black Enterprise magazine to bring 1st & Flirty to this great event. With the start of the NFL regular season just three days after the event; professional women will be ready to join the Monday morning sports talk with their male colleagues."

Launched in June 2009, Atlanta-based Jersey Girl Sports was created by two best-friends who were determined to take their love, passion and knowledge for sports to other women like themselves. The company tag says "Where Women and Sports Meet on Our Terms" is the exact feeling that Angela Davis and Marcelle English, the founders, want this niche medium of female fans to experience at 1st & Flirty.
