SOLO Swiss Multiple Bell Furnaces Line for the hand tool industry

Sept. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- This SOLO Swiss machine, which was designed to treat blades and shears parts, includes two austenitizing, carburizing and carbonitriding bell furnaces, two quenching salt tank, a tempering furnace under N2 atmosphere, a washing machine, a salt recovery system, a storage rack with 20 loading/unloading ramps, a 5-axis robot, an AXRON Swiss Technology process control and supervision (www.axron.com). The  useful loading dimensions are about 500 mm diameter, 700 mm height for a surface of 0.19 m2, a volume of 0.155 m3 and a maximum weight of a load about 300 kg.

This line has many applications, including:
- The option of tempering in the salt tank after quenching.
- The use of two salt tanks, which allows the customer to have different quenching temperatures.
- A load management system with remote supervision (for online maintenance).
- Precise metallurgical results (no deformation, homogeneity and reproducibility of treatment).
- The cooling water is enclosed in a closed circuit and the salt recovery system allows a reduction of the environmental impact.
- A washing machine equipped with salt level sensors (salinity) to optimize the consumption of electricity and cooling water.
