The Brothers Burn release “Turning Into Ash” LP

Sept. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- Austin, Texas -  Inspired by the wild fires razing Texas, The Brothers Burn release their fourth LP in 13 months, “Turning Into Ash”, now available at all major online media outlets (iTunes, Amazon, Napster, etc.).  

Watching their neighbors flee from the ravages of out-of-control flames, the Texas-born brothers have channeled their depressive fury into their darkest, most dramatic collection to date; with 12 new, heat-inspired tracks, scorched with their signature electro-pop and smoking with dramatic ardor.  This outing captures every dimension of the brothers' maturing sound, as the amalgamation of volcanic pop and moody drama drive the percussive, riff-heavy numbers into new heights and depths of passion.  

Done in quick sessions carved out between their typical soundtrack work, the brothers' obsessed on the theme of fire as a primordial force of life, as well as the cause of our ultimate destination.  Inspired by the wild fires running rampant throughout Texas, the brothers looked back into other historical, fire-based tragedies; reminding us of the San Francisco earthquake and fire of 1906, even using an image of one of the oldest tragedies on record, Vesuvius' fiery destruction of Pompeii, as the cover art.
