Hand-held vibration analyser – a complete toolbox

Sept. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Based on Brüel & Kjær’s award-winning sound level meter design, the compact 2250-H is ideal for analysis, troubleshooting and quality checking tasks.

An intuitive interface displays powerful real-time analysis on a clear touch screen, with a simple drag-and-drop operation. To zoom in on an FFT spectrum, simply drag the stylus across the desired frequency span, tap the zoom icon and then measure using the correct range.

The 2250-H has a multi-user facility which allows the interface to be programmed with a beginner-proof display or - for more advanced users - display fine details for in-depth, expert analysis.

Following customer consultation, further developments to the meter include templates for commonly used quality checks, to assist with quick and clear results. Tolerance limit checking uses simple ‘tolerance windows’ that are laid over the on-screen spectrum to give unequivocal pass/fail results. Voice comments can also be recorded and attached to each measurement project.

Automated signal recording allows analysis to be carried out at a later date, after recording to SDHC cards with a memory capacity of up to 32 GB. Meanwhile the standard-format .WAV files are easily transferred into other analysis tools, utilising user-specified metadata for efficient data sorting and retrieval.

The vibration analyser has dedicated PC software for analysis, reporting and archiving - and a specially made shoulder bag with space for both the analyser and the basic accessories.
