ADI places large Veracity transmission product order to meet growing worldwide demand

Oct. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- The ADI order is in response to growing integrator demand for Veracity’s products as US security installers continue to reap the benefits provided by such devices as HIGHWIRE and OUTREACH Max. After consultation with Veracity, ADI has specifically targeted the following for North American distribution:

HIGHWIRE turns any coax video cable (RG 6, 11 or 59) into a high-speed network connection. This allows the replacement of analogue cameras with IP cameras without replacing the existing cabling, which can provide significant savings during installation.

PINPOINT enables installers to view the image and configure an IP camera locally, without need of local power or even a local internet connection. PINPOINT allows the camera to be focussed quickly and accurately, even in the most awkward installation situations e.g. up a ladder configuring a camera on a pole.

OUTREACH Max overcomes the distance limitations of Ethernet and Power over Ethernet (PoE), enabling installers to locate IP cameras, wireless access points and other PoE-powered network devices precisely where they are needed. Installers simply connect one OUTREACH Max at or near the mid-point of the Ethernet cable. Once this is done an additional 100 meters (328 feet) of Ethernet cable may be run to the end device or to an additional OUTREACH for yet another extension of distance.
