Rap Legend Heavy D dead at age 44

Nov. 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Rap legend Heavy D -- One of the most influential rappers of the '90s, Heavy D died earlier today.  The rapper who's real name is Dwight Arrington Myers was rushed to an L.A. hospital around noon today and was pronounced dead at the hospital about 1 PM. Heavy D was 44 years old.

After a 911 call was placed earlier from the home of Heavy D in Beverly Hills around 11:25 AM, emergency responders were responding to a report of an unconscious male on the walkway .

Heavy D was reported to be conscious and speaking and was transported to a nearby hospital where he died a short time later.
