Shorefield is Pro Active with Go Active Family Breaks in the New 2012 Brochure

Dec. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Shorefield Holidays (www.shorefield.co.uk), the family-owned company specialising in family holidays, has launched its new 2012 brochure offering self-catering accommodation in five stunning parks on the south coast of England.  New for 2012 are Go Active Family Breaks at Oakdene Forest Park - set in 55 acres of landscaped gardens, bordering on the Avon Forest, Oakdene is one of just 14 parks in the UK to offer the programme.  

The brochure also presents new fleet for hire, special offers for early bookers and reductions on selected low-season dates. Lead-in prices are from £175 for seven nights’ accommodation (four-six people sharing) in a Danestream Chalet at Shorefield Country Park or in a Wimborne Caravan at Oakdene Forest Park.  Via voluntary donations of £1 per booking, Shorefield has raised almost £10,000 for Children in Need.

Early Booking & Special Offers: Everyone booking a holiday by January 31st 2012 will be rewarded with a 10% saving on the brochure price and a free cancellation protection scheme for absolute peace of mind.  Other special launch offers include 10% discounts for 2nd and 3rd holiday bookings; £10 off per child, for up to two children per booking under the age of 10 yrs, on holidays of seven nights or more; £20 discount per unit for senior citizens booking for seven nights or more.

Go Active at Oakdene: To participate in the family holiday Go Active concept, choose from an exciting weekly itinerary of activities in the park including the latest water walkerz craze (walking/rolling on water inside a ball!), body zorbing, sea scooters, archery, crossbows, fencing and snorkeling.  Alternatively opt for one of the many off-site activities nearby, such as Go Ape, Go Ski, Go Kart, Go Golf, Go Riding.  There is something for every age-group from toddlers to seniors and everything is affordable.  Activities can be booked in advance or on arrival and are priced from £4 per session on a pay-as-you-go basis with each varying in duration from 45 minutes to 3 hours.

Brief Description of Shorefield Holidays Parks:
•   Shorefield Country Park : an award-winning park in 100 acres with extensive leisure facilities including in- and out-door pools, in Milford on Sea, on the edge of the New Forest and five minutes’ walk from the sea.  
•   Oakdene Forest Park : a four-star park in 55 acres with excellent leisure facilities in Ringwood, on the edge of the Hurn Forest and just 11 miles from the sea at Bournemouth.  In addition to the new Go Active programme, there are new caravans for hire and sale.
•   Forest Edge Holiday Park : a smaller park close to Oakdene and sharing the same facilities whilst offering a more intimate ambience.
•   Merley Court Holiday Park : a five-star holiday park with in Wimborne, Dorset, with good leisure facilities including an outdoor heated pool (seasonal) and access to the Castlemain Trailway.  Also introducing luxury lodges with hot-tubs from March 2012.
•   Swanage Coastal Park : a beautiful park to get away from it all; no clubs or discos, just breathtaking views of Swanage Bay.  Brand new caravans available in 2012.

Brief Description of Accommodation Options:
All Shorefield Holiday Parks’ accommodation is well-equipped with full-sized cooker and fridge, crockery, cutlery, bed linen (excludes Swanage) and flat-screen TV.  Electricty, gas and water is complimentary.  Shorefield operates its own accommodation grading system from one to six (six is the highest degree of luxury) and guests are asked not to smoke in any accommodation and to provide their own towels.
•   Caravans : 13 different styles (Abbotsbury, Bramshaw, Burley, Corfe, Cranborne, Durlston, Kimmeridge, Lulworth, Purbeck, Studland, Ringwood, Winchester, Wimborne) that vary in size (2-3 bedrooms / 4-8-berth) and layout.  Shorefield Country Park and Oakdene Forest Park also offer caravans specially adapted for disabled guests.
•   Budget Chalets : two economy chalet options (Danestream and Brockenhurst – new in 2012 for Shorefield Country Park) some now have showers in response to customer demand.  Many of the Brockenhurst Chalets have refurbished bathrooms and some have bunk beds in one bedroom and a single bed in the second bedroom
•   Lodges : eight luxurious options (Canford, Milford, New England, New Hampshire, Nordic, Rhododendron, Romance, Waverley,) that vary from 2- to 8-berths and some 6-berth lodges adapted for disabled users.  Each offers superior facilities ranging from a large decking area with hot tub to a sauna in the bathroom.
•   Bungalows : available only at Shorefield Country Park, they are detached bungalows to accommodate four or five guests and offer private garden, large decked area with hot tub, fully-fitted kitchen and washing machine.
