About Say No To Drugs Holiday Classic

The “Say No To Drugs” Holiday Classic Race was started in 1988 by world-class runner andScientologist, Sandra Johnson, who was the captain of the Dianetics Running Team at the time. Johnson got her inspiration from humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard who wrote extensively on the subject of drugs and developed an extremely effective drug rehabilitation method which is currently in use all over the world. The race advocates healthy and drug-free living and supports many organizations with proceeds from the race such as the Boy and Girl Scouts of America and Drug Free Marshals.

Narconon Suncoast Rehab Center has an outstanding success rate of 76% of graduates achieving recovery from addiction. Suncoast graduates are followed up with 2 years of after-care liaison and are still drug-free. The answer to this high rate of success lies with their experienced staff and use of the Narconon program. The Narconon program not only detoxifies the addict’s body from drug and alcohol toxins and thereby eliminates cravings, they also train their students on specific life skills courses that address the reasons they sought out drugs or alcohol to begin with. The student leaves Suncoast alcohol or drug-free and with new life skills and knowledge with which to handle life's problems.
