Jan. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Established in 2008, JAVA & Co. has lived the realities of small batch business operation in the U.S.A. In both a strong economy and the challenged weaker economy, founders and husband and wife team, Brian and Jamie Knoll have understood the importance of continued innovation of their product line.

Spending time in research and product development to introduce new products, they found the ever-escalating ingredient, shipping and packaging costs were causing them to re-evaluate some of their existing small batch products for possible discontinuation. The decision to discontinue a product was not based upon poor sales, but instead the unacceptable reality of setting a ridiculous price in order to break even. Pulling from a work philosophy of "if it's not broken, break it", the creative juices flowed.

Beginning with JAVA Snack Bars, this hands-on evaluation process and philosophy led JAVA & Co. down a path of innovation to simplify the ingredient list for the consumer, increase and freshen the flavor profile and refresh and update the Snack Bars. From a business side, JAVA & Co. eliminated their reliance on one high priced vendor, reduced costs and improved the product. JAVA & Co. was able to keep the Snack Bar collection, maintain small batch handcrafted production and showcase a stronger product while maintaining the 2008 retail price!
