By: Sandy Levine “We’re very pleased by the incredible positive response we’ve gotten to this event, again this year,” said Chuck Corjay, Chairman of the AFCEA NOVA Valentine’s Ball. “We understand this is a tough year for many companies, so we are truly appreciative that so many outstanding organizations have stepped up and committed to this event, where any excess proceeds go towards educational scholarships through the AFCEA NOVA Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are provided to students in the Northern Virginia area studying the hard sciences including mathematics, information technology, computer science, and others – it truly is a great way to give back to our industry and our community.” The Ball brings together nearly 700 industry, military, and federal government telecommunications and IT professionals and their spouses, in an elegant, fun social environment. The black tie gala includes a reception, musical entertainment, dinner and dancing. This year, the Victory Belles, a charming vocal trio, will take guests on a nostalgic journey through World War II-era musical classics. The Victory Belles perform often at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans and at special events around the world, honoring our military through their rich harmony.
