Anti-Bullying Healthy Workplace Bill to be heard in Olympia

Jan. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- The U.S. is the last of the western democracies to implement a law forbidding bullying-like conduct in the workplace. To date no state that has passed such a law, but the Healthy Workplace Bill has been introduced in 21 states.

Rep. Mike Sells, chair of the House Labor committee has scheduled a public hearing for the Healthy Workplace Bill -- HB 1928 -- on Friday, January 20 at 8:00 am.

Earlier this week, on January 17,  the Washington State Senate committee on Labor, Commerce & Consumer Protection held a public hearing on the companion (identical) bill -- SB 5789.

The Workplace Bullying Institute (WBI) strongly encourages Washington residents to attend the hearing and voice their support for this much needed bill.
