By: J. Perry Kelly Monday, March 19th between 2pm to 3pm est., Professor Norman Ende, MD., Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the New Jersey School of Medicine, presents an open telephone conference and Q&A regarding emergency medical preparedness and follow-up care for mass casualties suffering Hematopoietic Syndrome (radiation sickness) due to high-dose radiation exposure. At the invitation of the Regional Catastrophic Planning Team (3), Ende will explain why his unique proposals for treating radiation sickness may offer the only viable means of treating extensive cases of radiation sickness resulting from the detonation of a 10kt IND in an urban setting. Dr. Ende developed this medical blueprint through extensive in-vivo research (4,5,6), his review of pathological reports from Hiroshima and Nagasaki (7), and findings from Chernobyl and Tokaimura (8). Joining Dr. Ende and the Regional Committee of the RCPGP will be Lt. Gen. Paul K. Carlton, Jr. MD., (ret.). A former Air Force Surgeon General, Dr. Carlton also served as NORAD’s senior medical adviser concerning medical options for treating mass radiation casualties in the event of a nuclear war. Drs. Ende and Carlton would greatly appreciate your participation this Monday to consider the hope they wish to share regarding a grave medical nightmare that threatens all mankind. Meeting Details: To join the meeting, please use this link: http://rcpt.adobeconnect.com/ You will be asked to enter as a guest using your name and phone number.
