OZ Biosciences SAS, specialized in the development of innovative transfection technologies, launches Viro-MICST™ into its successful line of specialty reagents for transduction.

Ideal for sensitive cell types such as primary and stem cells, the Viro-MICST™ reagent allows the efficient and specific transduction of target cells directly on magnetic cell-purification columns.
Designed for i-MICST™ Technology (Integrated Magnetic Immuno-Cell Sorting and Transduction/Transfection), Viro-MICST™ leads to an increase in the transduction efficiency with low-titer virus preparations compared to regular transduction methods.

Viro-MICST™ binds to viruses. As both magnetically labeled target cells and virus-Viro-MICST™ complexes are retained by the magnetic field into the column, the viruses can interact and infect target cells with high efficiency.
Viro-MICST™ was developed in association with MACS® technology* from Miltenyi Biotec.

Magnetofection™ is a simple and highly efficient viral and non-viral gene delivery method (in vitro and in vivo). This magnetic assisted transfection is based on the use of magnetic nanoparticles associated to the gene vectors. In this way, the magnetic force allows a rapid concentration of genetic material onto cells and promotes cellular uptake.
