Lonsdale Sign Exclusive Deal With Queensbury

April 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Launched just over two years ago by the ambitious promotional duo of former English Welterweight champion Ross Minter and promotional partner Alan Foley, the league’s exciting new competitive platform for British based boxers has seen a meteoric rise in its success over the last twelve month’s culminating with the league signing an exclusive broadcast agreement with British Eurosport, and Foley believes that the deal with what he describes as the biggest name in boxing is a fantastic move for both brands and he is looking forward to developing the relationship.

Foley commented ‘For me Lonsdale quite simply means boxing and I’ve grown up seeing their gloves and equipment adorning some of the sports biggest stars including the greatest, Muhammad Ali. The name Lonsdale has become synonymous with champions over the years, and we are very excited to be working with them and using their professional range of gloves and equipment in all our league events this year”
Queensbury co promoter Ross Minter also expressed his enthusiasm for the deal and said that

“I’ve used the Lonsdale gloves in both my amateur and professional career and I know from experience that their equipment is first class. Its fantastic that we now have them involved with the league and it’s a great move for us and our plans moving forward as we continue to build the league into the most dynamic boxing show in the country”

The Lonsdale products will make their debut on the league’s next promotional outing at the end of the month, and will be seen when the show airs on British Eurosport on Friday May 25th at 10pm.
