By: Paul Heller, Guitars-4-Stars The studio’s mission is to bring “visual music” to special places in homes, offices and commercial developments. Guitars-4-Stars is combining mosaics and stained glass that results in exquisite custom guitars where viewers are both inspired and intrigued. Paul is passionate about live music and believes that “for many people music is an opportunity for self-expression, introspection and pure enjoyment and this unique form of Guitar Art facilitates creating these feelings in residential and commercial settings.” The light-box technology involves creating a template to mount the stained glass and mosaics that is sturdy in construction to endure public environments and climate changes. These templates are made from gluing layers of cabinet-grade plywood and then cutting meticulously on a band saw. To allow for various hanging angles in addition to traditional horizontal or vertical positioning, mounting brackets are designed accordingly. Recently Guitars-4-Stars completed an impressive rendition of Miranda Lambert’s trademark Pink Guitar. The use of stain glass and mosaics creates an inspiring Guitar Art piece that is scaled to the exact size of her guitar. Miranda’s pick guard and fingerboard details are interpreted artistically with great attention to detail. Depending on wall space, especially for large public area applications, the Guitar Art could be magnified significantly. Previous to pursuing professional art, Paul has been a hotel entrepreneur, management consultant and an adjunct professor at Atlanta university business programs.
