Stephen Webster Trunk Show at Shreve & Co. Portland April 27 & 28

April 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Portland, OR: Stephen Webster, a London-based jewelry brand known for its cutting-edge designs and exquisite craftsmanship, will feature a first look at the designer’s new fine jewelry collection aptly titled Murder She Wrote. Inspired by the adventures of literature’s best known British detectives – think Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot – Webster embellishes murderous icons with fine rubies, emeralds, sapphires and black diamonds to tell a story of deceit, jealousy and revenge.

Webster’s edgy designs blend his love for traditional craftsmanship with his passion for music, fashion and art. He learned his craft at the Medway College of Design, apprenticed with Tony Sheperd, a former Prime Warden of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, and worked for several established London design houses. In 1982, Webster’s work was recognized with the coveted DeBeers Diamond Stakes Trophy, and he embarked on a new career path. Working in Canada, then California where his bold style and use of exotic gems attracted a fashion-savvy clientele. He returned to London and founded Stephen Webster Ltd in 1998. Today his stellar client list includes celebrities like Kate Moss, Johnny Depp, Cameron Diaz, Christina Aguilera, Russell Brand and Madonna. Webster’s talent has been recognized with numerous awards including “Diamond Jeweler of the Year,” “Jewelry Designer of the Year,” “UK Jewelry Brand of the Year,” and “British Luxury Jeweler of the Year” award.

Shreve & Co., established in 1852, is the oldest retail jeweler in California. An independent Guild jeweler, Shreve & Co. is owned and operated by the fourth-generation of a family of jewelers.
