NC Writer’s First Screen Play “Canonize Me” Goes to Cannes Film Festival

May 3, 2012 - PRLog -- The 27-minute short called “Canonize Me” is co-written by Director, Miguel Miller.  Originally created as a 7 minute film, it was extended for submission into the prestigious French film festival.  The film centers on George, a politician, who is assassinated and finds he has to evaluate key moments from his life. It is in this self-reflection with three spirit guides that he ascertains his life’s worth and whether or not Heaven should be his reward.

Brian said, “When Miguel approached me about working with him on a screenplay I was very excited. One of my favorite past times is going to the local Cameo Art House theater to escape into a great film. The opportunity to write something worthy of being shown at Cannes is an incredible mile stone for me.”

Brian’s first book, “Stone-Upon-Stone” (Peak City Publishing, 2011) was published in the summer of 2011.  The book is an illustrated short story that deals with communication in relationships. Lauded by many as a “must read” and “timeless” for readers of all ages.
