Follow on Google News | Miinch Back in Action at Blythe Saturday NightAfter missing the opening round of the 2012 campaign, 2011 ASA Truck Series champion Taylor Miinch has been on a roll scorching the field in rounds two and three scoring impressive victories.
By: Derrick Shannon Miinch, driving for Upfront Motorsports in the #12 Chevrolet this season, is set for action this weekend at I-10 Speedway in Blythe, CA. The temperatures will reach in excess of 100 degrees on Saturday but Miinch believes the team has the right setup for the conditions. "The Upfront Motorsports team has just been awesome this year," Miinch said. "We have new equipment and the right setup for each track. Despite the heat, I know we will be really good." Miinch has seen the tight quarter-mile oval on four previous occasions and knows it will take some luck to get to the front and stay there. "Passing is really difficult at Blythe," stated the former series champion. "We just need to qualify up front and get a favorable invert. So far this year it has worked out good for us and I look forward to a great race on Saturday night." Miinch trails second place by 40-points and is just 48-points behind championship leader Jerimiah Wagner. "We are not really thinking about anything other than winning races, but if we continue doing what we are doing then contending for the championship is certainly possible," Miinch offered. Miinch will have a new sponsor on-board for the event. http://www.Hope4Cancer.Com offers alternative and progressive cancer treatment and has been an innovative leader in the field of cancer research for the past decade.
