Feb. 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Every off-season, racers across the country reflect on the past racing season and ponder their racing future hoping the next season will be their best yet. For Kyle and Clayton Weatherman, two up and coming racing talents from Missouri, both drivers are taking the next step in their respective careers in 2013 ascending the racing ladder.

Kyle (15) will make his debut in the ARCA Racing Series this season competing in at least seven events in the 61-year old stock car series. The first event for Kyle and the team will be at the ultra-fast and high-banked half-mile paved oval of Salem (IN) Speedway April 28.

"I'm really excited for this year," Kyle Weatherman said. "We have a lot going on with testing and racing the ARCA car. I'm ready to race against all the professional ARCA teams and drivers and can't wait to finally get on track in a race."

Other ARCA races include stops at Toledo, Elko, Winchester, Berlin, Madison, and a second trip Salem in the fall.

After cutting his teeth in Legend cars for the past five seasons where he scored more than 190 victories and five championships, Kyle is ready for his next challenge.

"Racing full-bodied stock cars is going to be a blast," Weatherman offered. "We have tested a few times already and will test a lot this year before each race. We tested at Rockingham (NC) last fall and it was incredible. I know I am going to love these cars and I know we have the team to be competitive."

Kyle will also continue to race his Legends car in the Pro division throughout the season at select events across the country and the Summer Legends Shootout at Charlotte (NC). He will also race a handful of asphalt Super Late Model races including the prestigious Snowball Derby in December.

For younger brother Clayton (13), he is already off to a fast start this year collecting several victories in the first month of the season. Clayton has graduated to the USLCI Legends Pro division after scoring over 130 victories in the Bandelero and Young Lions division the past five years.

Clayton will criss-cross the country this season competing against the nation's best drivers on short tracks and roadcourses in Texas, North Carolina, Nevada, Florida, California, Georgia, and others along with making his debut on dirt in IMCA Modified action.

"I am really excited about racing in the pro class this year," Clayton Weatherman said. "I know we will have a really good chance to win this year and will be competitive at each track. Being in the pro class is really cool I am going to take it one race at a time. The cars are exactly the same but the drivers are more experienced."

Clayton will be in action all next week at the Legends Winter Nationals at Auburndale Speedway in Winter Haven, FL. The event features five straight nights of racing February 18-22 on the fast quarter-mile paved oval. The annual event which draws competitors from across the country.
