June 8, 2012 - PRLog -- San Diego, CA – A-1 Self Storage, the premier provider of self storage in California, announced today their support of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation through their monetary donation to the National Father’s Day Committee. The funds raised by this year’s “Father of the Year” event held on June 7, 2012 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. One of this year’s honorees is Brian Caster, CEO of A-1 Self Storage, selected for his ability to maintain balance between his professional and personal life, while making a positive difference in his community and being a role model for his family.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is the leading charitable funder and advocate of Type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Type 1 diabetes is a disease which strikes children suddenly. It is treated by multiple injections of insulin daily or a continuous infusion of insulin through a pump in order to maintain their health.
