Startup as independent film company in Los Angeles

June 9, 2012 - PRLog -- A film production company is a venture that Dena Derakhshan has thrived on for years while honing his craft. "I started out as an actor as a teenager, then moved behind the camera to see how I'd like it," says Derakhshan. "I ended up loving it!"

He oversees production from idea stage to finished distribution. His work has been appearing on newspapers, trade journals, and over the internet to public fame. He has written numerous screenplays, newspaper columns, comic books, and poetry for all to see.

But he hasn't stopped there. Derakhshan has ventured out into being a film producer of commercials and is now producing narrative films as well. A headstrong personality, his aim is making movies, buying movies, and selling movie scripts. From script to screen, Mr. Derakhshan is working to make things happen.

Included are a few words by the creative mind, "I consider myself a pretty regular guy, for the most part. I just happen to love doing different, creative work. I want to use my talents with business and art into something meaningful. I'm not yet out to save the planet, but I do want to do some good while I'm here. To me, being creative means thinking about unorthodox solutions, finding answers to problems fast, using my imagination with intensity, and being tough with myself as an artist".

A growing production company with 12 feature films (8 in development, 2 in pre-production, and 2 in production), 4 television pilots, and another dozen web-series production are being worked on right now.
