The Legacy at Willow Bend Names Dr. Vaqar Dar Medical Director

June 18, 2012 - PRLog -- The Legacy at Willow Bend, Plano’s first and only life care retirement community, has named Dr. Vaqar Dar medical director. The announcement was made by Lana Van Giesen, executive director of The Legacy at Willow Bend.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Dar to The Legacy at Willow Bend,” said Van Giesen.  “He is accessible to families and staff and is known for tailoring care to meet each individual’s needs.”

Dr. Dar, a board certified internist, has been in practice for more than 12 years serving the North Dallas community. He currently serves as a Hospitalist for Texas Health Physicians Group. Previously, he served as a Hospitalist for MedicalEdge Healthcare Group. Dr. Dar trained in New York at St. Barnabas Hospital and currently lives in Plano with his family.

“I am a firm believer in personalized care,” said Dr. Dar. “When I get a new patient, I meet with all parties and make sure that this is a team effort. I specialize in treatment at long-term care facilities, and I am honored to serve and treat residents of The Legacy at Willow Bend.”
