June 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Hastings, Cohan & Walsh, LLP, Connecticut injury lawyers announced a new consumer based program aimed at injured parties who are not sure whether or not they need to hire an accident attorney. The Victim Improvement Program, or VIP, will allow injured parties to contact one of the firm’s accident and injury lawyers to assess the strengths and weaknesses of a claim along with suggestions as to what steps the injured party can take to improve the value of their claim. An assessment will also be made as to whether or not the injured party would be best served by hiring a lawyer to manage the development of their case. If it is determined that the injured party is in a position to represent his/herself, he/she will be advised of the proper steps to take in order to effectively manage the claim. Additionally, the firm’s attorneys will be available to answer questions that arise during the settlement negotiation process.
