July 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Kelly Admiraal, a 17-year old high school student from Edmonton, is having perhaps the best summer of his young life competing in a variety of racing series in Canada and the United States. Next weekend at the Edmonton Indy Car event, he is set to make his debut in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series on the City Center Airport road course circuit.

Admiraal has been racing for nine years moving up the racing ladder through Outlaw Karts, Sprint Cars, and most recently in Late Model Stock cars. This season will be a year of firsts for the talented young driver who hopes to continue his climb ultimately making it to one of NASCAR's top three national series.

"I think every one that races wants to make it to the top of NASCAR," Admiraal said. "We have put together a first-class team and the experience we are gaining this season will pay dividends as we go forward."

That effort includes a new team sponsor for the the Edmonton event. Williams Scotsman Inc. will be on board the team Chevrolet for the race. Williams Scotsman offers space solutions for the construction, education, energy, industrial, commercial/retail, healthcare, and government markets, with operations in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Williams Scotsman serves customers' modular space and storage needs through a network of nearly 100 locations throughout North America.

"Having a recognized brand like Williams Scotsman supporting the team for the Edmonton race is fantastic," Admiraal offered. "I am really looking forward to the race but at the same time I am a little nervous."

Those nerves might come from the fact that he is competing in his first ever road course event in a new and different style car than he is used to driving. " Despite this being my first road course race, I know it is going to be a great experience and can't wait to compete against Canada's best stock car drivers."

While Kelly Admiraal has been competing in the Dakota Dunes Super Late Model championship at Auto Clearing Speedway in Saskatoon this season in preparation for his NASCAR Canadian Tire Series debut, his older brother Ian had been busy managing the race team.

Ian Admiraal is just 19-years old and a student at Kings College studying Business Commerce. This summer he is taking a break from his studies to earn a real-world education managing the race team. "It's like running business," Admiraal said. "We have employees, contractors, and suppliers. We advertise, create marketing plans, and spend a lot of time negotiating. Everything I have been learning in school has direct application to running this team. Last summer I ran a junk removal company and this summer I am running a race team!"

The Admiraal racing team will have its work cut out for them at the Edmonton Indy event as the best drivers from across Canada will be in attendance vying for not only the race victory but for the series championship as well.

"There will be a lot of challenges at this race," Kelly Admiraal offered. "The heat, a difficult road course layout, and getting comfortable in a new race car. As a team we are up for the challenge and as a racer I cannot wait for next weekend to get here."

Admiraal Racing is owned by Menno Admiraal, a successful business entrepreneur and owner of Western Camp Services Ltd. based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The team is lead by Driver/Director of Race Operations Ian Admiraal and supported by crew members: Theo, Badge, Daniel, Nolan, Adam, Dan and Ben.
