Smart Mobile Launched a New Service “Smart Loan”

July 10, 2012 - PRLog -- July, 10th 2012, Phnom Penh--Smart Mobile launched a new service called ‘Smart Loan’, a service which allows its subscribers to make calls and use other services even when there is no balance remaining in the subscriber’s account.

Those customers who meet certain criteria can apply for an instant Smart Loan, a credit of USD 0.50 which is added to the main balance and costs USD 0.10 to the subscriber. The service cost is deducted automatically during the next top-up or 30 days after the loan has been provided.

“This is a unique service for Cambodia, offered only by Smart Mobile. Now subscribers can make urgent calls even when they have run out of credit. No matter it is day or night, if you cannot find a way to top up your Smart account, you can still use your phone to call out, send SMS, use Internet and other services,” said Thomas Hundt, CEO of Smart Mobile.

To be capable of obtaining the Smart Loan, a subscriber must satisfy the following conditions: use one of Smart’s pre-paid tariffs, be registered and remain active in Smart’s network for at least 90 days prior to the Smart Loan request, make at least 6 top-ups during the last 6 months and shall not have current debts.

To activate the service, subscribers can send an empty SMS to 911 or dial *911# for requesting a Smart Loan. In order to request the loans history, subscribers can send an empty SMS to 9111 or dial *911*1#.
