Oaks Christian School Supports 2012 Battle for Veterans

July 25, 2012 - PRLog -- The 2012 Battle for Veterans slogan is "They fought for our freedom...Let's play in their honor."  Held at Calvary Community Church on Thursday, August 30 at 7:30pm, the Battle for Veterans Evening of Honor will feature community veterans and student athletes as the guests of honor.  Wounded Veteran Mr. Stu Weber will be the keynote speaker for the evening. Guests will also enjoy special entertainment and refreshments served in the lobby from 6-7pm. Then, August 31 will kick off the two-day Battle for Veterans Football Invitational with 16 high school football teams from Northern and Southern California competing.  Held at Westlake High School, the Football Invitational will also include a Military Expo, flyovers and an Elite Parachute Team.  All veterans and the public are invited.  Battle for Veterans is raising funds to support US military personnel and especialy those who have been wounded in battle.
