Follow on Google News | Bill Redell Returns as Varsity Football Head Coach at Oaks Christian School“I am very fortunate to be able to return to Oaks Christian as head coach,” said Redell. “Retirement was not all it was cracked up to be and I look forward to once again work with the OCS football players and coaching staff.” Oaks Christian School is fortunate as well. Redell brings to coaching a storied football career with nine Hall of Fame memberships, including the National High School Coaches Hall of Fame and the National Foundation College Football Hall of Fame. He was one of the first coaches to be hired when Oaks Christian School opened in 2000 and Redell helped to build a robust and successful football program. In his 12 years coaching at Oaks Christian, Redell led the football team to nine CIF Championship games, winning seven. His 24-year coaching record is 233 wins, 63 losses and3 ties. In addition to seasoned coaching experience, Redell also offers players his expertise and high regard among college scouts and coaches. With his return, the entire football program looks forward to a smooth transition for the 2014 season. As important are the Christian values that Redell incorporates into his coaching style. He encourages players to live out their faith in all they do—on and off the field. This mentoring approach is an intrinsic part of the Oaks Christian School mission “to dedicate ourselves to Christ in the pursuit of academic excellence, artistic expression, and athletic distinction.” End
