TransActive Advisor Recognized for Outstanding Service to LGBTQ People

July 27, 2012 - PRLog -- TransActive Education & Advocacy Advisory Board member, Dr. Olivia Murray, Ph.D. has received the Portland State University "President's Commendation for Outstanding Service to the University" for their work on behalf of the Graduate School of Education in addressing LGBTQ issues that affect teacher education.

Dr. Murray has also received the "Doctoral Commendation Award" for the Graduate School of Education for their dissertation work: "Outing" Queer Issues in Teacher Preparation Programs: How Pre-Service Teachers Experience Sexual and Gender Diversity in their Field Placements.
