StreetPass NYC Doubles Down for New Super Mario Bros 2 During the Month of Mario

Aug. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- To celebrate the big launch of both New Super Mario Bros 2 and the Nintendo 3DS XL, StreetPass NYC would like to invite everyone in New York to join them for not one, but two festivities on Sunday, August 19th of coin collecting Mario fun!

The festivities begin August 19th at the Nintendo World Store (10 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, New York 10020) starting at 10:00 AM and ending at 2:00 PM. StreetPass NYC will greet Mario and Luigi in person as they compete with the Nintendo World Store employees in a Coin Rush challenge and check out the new Nintendo 3DS XL in person. Everyone who purchases the game at the store during those hours will also receive a special limited gift from Nintendo World Store staff while supplies last.

After a short break (collecting a million coins is not an easy task), people who stick around in the city can attend StreetPass NYC’s NSMB2 Launch after Party at Radio Star Karaoke (3 West 35th Street, New York, New York 10001) from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

After you get your wrist strap join us in Room 6 as we will have a sign up for various Mario related challenges such as groups of four surviving evil versions of New Super Mario Bros Wii levels, New Super Mario Bros DS Mario VS Luigi Battles, Mario Tennis Open matches, Mario Kart 7 Coin Battles, old school Mario Bros high score challenges, Mario Party 9 mini-games and more.

Winners from these bouts will earn gold coins and those top three gold hoarders will win gold medals, free drinks and more!

For those who live out on Long Island who can’t make it, the newly created StreetPass Long Island will have a meeting at the SIMON Game Play in the Smith Haven Mall (313 Smith Haven Mall, Lake Grove, New York 11755) starting at 2:00 PM. (https://www.facebook.com/events/219888814803166/).
