Follow on Google News | The Latino Entrepreneurial Network Public Sector Business Champion Winner AnnouncedLEN has announced the first winner of their annual awards ceremony as Mr. Wyman Winston, Executive Director at Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA), with the distinct honor of the “Public Sector Business Champion" of 2012.
By: Latino Entrepreneurial Network “Mr. Winston’s leadership has been paramount in the development of the comprehensive Economic Development Programs which include, Transform Milwaukee, the realignment of WHEDA's EBE program, as well as his commitment to share his wisdom and knowledge in many events such as a volunteer keynote speaker” stated Nelson Soler, LEN Founding Executive Director. LEN is a 501c3 nonprofit private membership corporation with the mission of empowering entrepreneurs and their families through entrepreneurial and financial education. The organization currently has 303 members and has received multiple national awards over the years. As a way to continue the development of our community, a portion of the donations raised at this year’s EXITO Awards will help fund LEN’s youth initiatives. “Our sponsors have helped us tremendously over the past few years and our youth programs will benefit greatly from the generosity of our sponsor’s kind donations”, states Christopher M. Castillo, President of LEN and founding LEN Board Member. This summer, LEN will host youth training programs for the seventh straight year. LEN will also be announcing other awards such as the Microenterprise Champion of the Year, Corporate Champion of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, and Community Volunteer of the Year. The awards ceremony at the Oak Creek Community Center will begin at 5:30 pm and will entail a reception as well as networking and other events. End
