MENTAL HEALTH NEWS: Counseling Assessment Questionnaire

Depression, addiction, anxiety, suicide, family breakdown, and other mental distress are increasing in societies throughout the world.

The College is releasing this Counseling Assessment as a contribution to the mental health and healing of friends and family members.

The questionnaire helps relate current problems to the recent and distant past in the reader's life drawing upon medical, social, occupational, and family experiences.

As the questions are answered, the reader gains an awareness of causes and possible repeating patterns from early life. Everyone has a tendency to repeat and perpetuate aspects of painful unresolved conflicts and losses. These losses may be related to health, types of abuse, or parental loss of caring affecting adult life and relationships.

On completing the assessment, the reader may want to seek counseling from a trained professional.
