KC The Founder of “KC & The Sunshine Band” To Appear on PROFILES

Sept. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- PROFILES Host Mickey Burns sits down with Harry Wayne Casey simply known as KC for his second appearance on PROFILES. Currently “KC & The Sunshine Band” are on a National tour celebrating the bands 40th Anniversary as one of the most popular Pop and Disco Bands of all time. There music shaped a generation and remains tremendously popular today.

Back in the 70’s “KC & The Sunshine Band” took the music world by storm, charting three No. #1 Pop Hits in one year, a feat achieved previously only by the Beatles in 1964. They also became only the second group after the Jackson 5 to chart four U.S. No. #1 singles in the 70’s.

Today, “KC & The Sunshine Band” continue to tour at a rate of about 100 performances a year. Once labeled a Disco band, in response KC said: “Our sound was mimicked and that’s what became Disco!”

Currently, KC’s music is featured in four national commercials and within the Soundtracks of too many movies to mention.
