SpinHouse PR, Laura Coppelman & David ‘Lebo’ Le Batard Unveil Second Annual Pink Ribbon Project

Photo Campaign Benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Affiliate to Kick Off National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Sept. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- On Thursday, October 4, SpinHouse PR, together with notable photographer Laura Coppelman and acclaimed cartoon artist David ‘Lebo’ Le Batard, will inaugurate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the unveiling of the highly-anticipated Second Annual Pink Ribbon Project. The photo campaign, benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Affiliate, celebrates the photos of 10 local socialites and influencers who have donated their time to help eradicate breast cancer.

“Last year’s project received such an overwhelmingly positive response that we decided to make it an annual campaign,” says Michelle Fonticiella, owner of SpinHouse PR and founder of Pink Ribbon Project. “Through everyone’s collaboration and support, Pink Ribbon Project has built a special camaraderie amongst those that have been involved, while also bringing awareness to the local community about the commonality of breast cancer.”

Now in its second year, the Pink Ribbon Project highlights the work and creativity of local photographers who want to raise money for breast cancer awareness. This year, the exhibit will showcase the photos of lifestyle photographer Laura Coppelman, who constructed a set of 750 yards of pink ribbon for the project.

“When I was presented with the opportunity to photograph the Pink Ribbon Project, I knew it was not only an opportunity to honor the memory of a dear friend and of a family member who had both succumbed to breast cancer, but also a chance to bring Miami's most influential women together to approach the ‘Pink Ribbon’ concept in a unique and creative way,” says Laura. “I'm confident that the heart and spirit behind this project will bring us one step closer to stopping cancer in its tracks.”

The acclaimed photographer also collaborated with Miami-art scenester and abstract cartoon artist David ‘Lebo’ Le Batard who painted the names of breast cancer survivors and victims on each woman.
