Morning Star Community Christian Center Celebrates 13th Pastoral Anniversary

Sept. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- Morning Star Community Christian Center (“Morning Star”) enthusiastically rejoices in preparation of the 13th Pastoral Celebration for Senior Pastor Therman Evans and First Lady Bernetta Evans.  Open to the public, the “Kick-off” celebration on Thursday, October 25th at 7pm takes place at the church (1009 Chandler Avenue, Linden, NJ) and will be a “live” musical jubilation honoring Morning Star’s associate pastors.

Friday, October 26th , Rev. Dr. DeForest Soaries, noted author and Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens will unify the leadership team at an exclusive invitation only event.  Rev. Soaries plans to deliver a life changing word that will both encourage and empower Morning Star’s leadership team.

Saturday, October 27th, the much anticipated feature event is a “Roast & Toast” Gala Luncheon at The Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel in Elizabeth, NJ.  The event requires an RSVP to attend.  Tickets may be obtained by emailing anniversary@morningstarccc.org.

On Sunday, October 28th, the celebration continues as hundreds plan to gather as two of New Jersey’s most spirit filled and prominent pastors prepare to celebrate with Pastor Evans.  Rev. David Jefferson, Senior Pastor of Metropolitan Baptist Church of Newark will be the speaker at the 8am service.  Bishop George Searight of Abundant Life Family Worship Center in New Brunswick, NJ, will be the speaker at the 11am service.

The celebration will give the members, friends, and well-wishers an opportunity to pause and give thanks for Morning Star’s leadership.  “The work of Senior Pastor Therman Evans, his associate pastoral team and officers is a labor of love”, says Richard Jennings, long time member and deacon emeritus. Pastor Therman Evans and Mrs. Evans have fervently and passionately led Morning Star to become an instrumental pillar in the Linden community and surrounding areas.  

Although now a nationally known physician, professor, and sought after conference presenter, Pastor Evans continues to fulfill his calling as Senior Pastor of Morning Star.   Rev. Manuel Donelson, Associate Pastor at Morning Star says, “It is an honor to celebrate the Evans’ 13th year in ministry.
