Arthur Rutenberg Homes Announces Charlotte/Raleigh Expansion: Three New Franchise Homebuilding Companies, Sales Milestones

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Arthur Rutenberg Homes, America's largest franchise network of custom homebuilders, has achieved major milestones during its first two years in the Charlotte area and today announced major expansions in the Carolinas Region - two additional new franchise homebuilding companies based in the Mooresville and Cornelius areas plus a new franchise in the Raleigh/Durham area.

Arthur Rutenberg Homes, based in Clearwater, FL and founded by legendary homebuilder Art Rutenberg, had previously announced that the company's plans for the Carolinas would encompass three franchises to serve the Greater Charlotte area and additional franchises in other North Carolina cities.  The company this week has achieved that goal.

Announcing Two New Franchises in the Greater Charlotte Area – Mooresville, Cornelius:

Today on behalf of Arthur Rutenberg Homes, Jim Rosewater, Vice President of the Carolinas Region, announced two new Arthur Rutenberg Homes franchise homebuilding companies have launched in the Greater Charlotte market:

New franchise Bluefield Builders, LLC, based in Mooresville/Iredell County, will build custom homes, ranging initially from $400,000 to $1,000,000-plus, primarily in Iredell County and the Lake Norman area.  Current communities include the award-winning golf and waterfront communities The Point and The Farms in Mooresville and Falls Cove in Troutman.  Bluefield Builders is co-owned by Tom Arndt and Dave Smith, who also serves as Building Company President.

"My partner and I, with more than 30 years of homebuilding experience, combined withthe Arthur Rutenberg brand will be able to offer our customers in the north Charlotte/Lake Norman area, the unique combination of hands-on attention and the unmatched systems of an industry-leading homebuilding company," stated Dave Smith, franchise co-owner.

New franchise Monterey Bay - Charlotte, LLC, based in Cornelius/Mecklenburg County, will build custom homes, ranging from $350,000 to $1 million-plus, primarily in North Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Rowan and Iredell Counties, initially in the master-planned community of Kellswater Bridge in Kannapolis, where their 2,666 s.f. Carrington model home is featured, and also in the River Run golf course community in Davidson, whose model will start construction in October.

Co-owners of Monterey Bay - Charlotte are David Schenck and Jim Wolfe. The Monterey Bay - Charlotte franchise is an expansion for owners Schenck and Wolfe, who founded and operate Monterey Bay Homes LLC, an Arthur Rutenberg Homes franchise in Myrtle Beach, SC.  New Building Company President is Randy Turkovics.

Announcing Third New Franchise, a Second Franchise for the Raleigh/Durham Area:

Rosewater further announced a third new Arthur Rutenberg Homes franchise has been awarded in the Raleigh area to Monterey Bay - Raleigh, also owned by David Schenck.  This represents the second franchise in the Raleigh-Durham area.  The Building Company President is Jamie Brewer.  Monterey Bay will be building in Wake and Durham counties with home prices ranging from the $400,00s to the $1 million plus.

Eighteen months ago, the first Arthur Rutenberg Homes Raleigh-area franchise was awarded to Hearthstone Luxury Homes, LLC, currently building in the counties of Wake, Orange, Chatham and Durham.  Franchise Owner and Building Company President for Hearthstone Luxury Homes is Jeff Logsdon; Vice President is Trina Allen.  Home prices for Hearthstone are from the mid-$400,000s and up.

Arthur Rutenberg Homes First Franchise in Charlotte Becomes Top Seller:

First Charlotte-area franchise Paragon Homes of Charlotte, based in South Charlotte, opened its first model home 15 months ago in the well known Ft. Mill golf course community Springfield, and has focused its activities primarily in the South Charlotte and South Perimeter areas from Mint Hill to Ft. Mill, already selling 30 new homes ranging from the $400,000 to the $900,000-plus.  Paragon Homes homes are under construction in the established communities of Springfield, The Club at Longview, Woodlands at Cheval, Highgate, Kingsmead, Hadley Park, Heron Cove at Lake Wylie, the River District in Baxter Village, and Tega Cay.  

Paragon Homes is co-owned by Carolinas Region Vice President Jim Rosewater and Mitch Genda, who serves as the Building Company President.  The new Paragon Homes franchise was recognized in 2011 by Arthur Rutenberg Homes as having the best model home.  

The legendary homebuilder Art Rutenberg, whose Clearwater, FL-based company is the country's largest franchise custom homebuilder, expanded to the Greater Charlotte area market just 2-1/2 years ago.  The Carolinas Region headquarters recently located to the Pineville area, under the leadership of Jim Rosewater, and a strategic growth plan to expand its Carolinas operations, adding franchises throughout North and South Carolina.

Announcement - Four New Model Homes Now Off The Drawing Boards:

Mill.  The company today announced that designs for four new model homes in the Southern Design Collection are now "off the drawing board" and in production planning stages.  Monterey Bay and Bluefield Builders will build one model each; Paragon Homes will build two new models (community locations to be announced).
