EGAN Medical Equipment & Supply Announces New Wordpress Blog

Oct. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- EGAN Medical, leading online retailer of a variety of medical equipment, supplies and other health care products is thrilled to announce the debut of the company's all-new Wordpress blog. The blog is the latest in a series of presences the company has developed on blogging, social media and small business community sites in an effort to ramp up its grassroots marketing efforts in hopes of reaching as many potential customers as possible while they're seated at the computer.

The blog URL is relatively easy-to-remember, with the abbreviated company name typed as a single word followed by wordpress-dot-com (eganmedical-dot-wordpress-dot-com). While there was some discussion over the possibility of changing things up from existing company weblogs and altering the URL and/or title, the decision to use only the company name in the URL was ultimately made for the sake of devoted customers and bargain hunters who may otherwise become confused were the name or address to fail to fit the pattern of other official company literature published online. In early 2012, Egan Medical Equipment & Supply launched its first standalone blog at Blogspot(dot)com. That particular site has come in useful on a number of occasions, particularly as it pertains to conveying important information to customers such as was the case during Hurricane Isaac when the company had to temporarily shut down as employees evacuated; not to mention to post an announcement of the firm's reopening following the storm once power had been restored.

While the new EGAN Medical Supply Wordpress site will be used on occasion in a manner similar to the way in which the Blogger blog is being utilized (primarily for the posting of company  news, announcements, sales and articles), EGAN intends to use the Wordpress site more for the sake of the promotion of the actual products offered at http://www.eganmedical.com than any of the company's other presences the main e-commerce site excluded.

The site features the standard home and about pages, as well as a "Products" page that the firm hopes will eventually contain an entire index of all of Egan Medical's products, with specific product information linked to from the product name on the page. Additionally, the site features a "Company News" section where the company posts news relative to itself, and not surprisingly the site also contains an actual blog. Of the four posts published as of the time of this writing, three of them pertained to various medical equipment products and/or medical supplies with the lone non-product related post announcing the company's plans to open an e-commerce fulfillment center in Long Beach, MS in the not-too-distant future.

Like the other Egan Medical blog, Egan's Wordpress readers will be provided access to exclusive discounts, coupon codes and deals and will be among the first to learn of new product announcements and other company news. Egan Medical encourages all of its customers to actively keep up with the firm's social presence in order to gain access to the most in-demand products and lock in the biggest possible savings.

When asked if this would be the final installment of the Egan Medical Equipment & Supply third-party publishing endeavor, a company spokesman offered no comment, claiming that no such decision had yet been made. The spokesman then referred all questions on the matter to the EGAN Medical Storeboard Blog (http://www.storeboard.com/eganmedicalequipment/blog), where he said a formal response would be posted later in the day.
