By: Trod Nossel Artists With the release of his most recent EP, "BIGS," (acronym for "Baby I've Got Soul," the first song on the EP), Beau has garnered much attention from industry execs, buyers and promoters. From that 3-song EP, consideration for the 55th annual Grammy Awards is being made in the following categories: Best New Artist: Beau Badrick Record Of The Year: "Lucky Enough" - Award for Artist Performance: Producer: Darlene Cavalier Engineer: Justin Watson Mixing/Mastering: Song Of The Year: "Lucky Enough" - Award for Songwriter: Beau Badrick Best Rock Song: "Baby I've Got Soul" - Award for Songwriter - Beau Badrick Best Rock Performance: "Baby I've Got Soul" - Award for Vocalist: Beau Badrick This year has been a busy year for Badrick, he began in January by writing, arranging recording a song for an American Idol Season 11 hopeful; in March, recorded vocals and keyboards at Trod Nossel Studios (http://www.trodnossel.com) for/with legendary first manager and producer of The Rolling Stones, Andrew Loog Oldham (release due out early 2013); in March-May, recorded his EP, "BIGS;" June/July, signed a production deal and recorded all summer with Earl Cohen Productions (the team that launched Lady Gaga with Rob Fusari and Tom Kafafian, worked with Pink, Usher, Will Smith, Destiny's Child, and a host of others); in August, signed on to the No Bully Tour 2012 (http://www.nobullytour.com) sponsored by Christopher Surrey/Paintbox Labs along with other artists for an anti-bullying initiative launched by the Karen Klein Anti-Bullying Foundation on The Today Show on October 4th 2012 (as a result of the viral video on YouTube of her being bullied by middle school students) then headed down to Myrtle Beach SC for the first date on the tour; and spent time in between projects performing at various large fairs, festivals, and at Mohegan Sun Casino. He also spent time in the studio this month with Music Power NY in preparation for a large-scale charity event planned at the Tilles Center in NY on November 30, 2012. Rehearsals included Ciaran Sheehan (Phantom Of The Opera star), the Board of Directors and promoters of Music Power NY, Paul SEQUENCE Ferguson and a special appearance by Prentiss McNeil 27 year member of the popular group, The Drifters.
