Alzheimer's Caregiver Project Schedule
Oct. 25, 2012 -
PRLog -- The “Alzheimer’
s Caregiver Project” series of classes, which were held at the Gateway Center for the Arts building, was overbooked and we have to move our classes to STAY FOR THE DAY, Adult Day Health Center, 1001 Town Center Dr., Orange City, FL 32763 starting with the November 8th 2012 class. Visiting Angels Homecare along with our partner Vitas Innovative Hospice Care would like to thank STAY FOR THE DAY for offering there facility for us to use at no charge. Trying to find space to relocate in the middle of this series was cumbersome, but thank goodness STAY FOR A DAY is community oriented and offered their location.
The “Alzheimer’
s Caregiver Project” is a series of six classes addressing the unique issues of caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. The classes are once a month for six months and this series has four classes remaining. Starting November 8th, 2012 at STAY FOR A DAY, Adult Day Health Center, 1001 Town Center Dr., Orange City, FL 32763.
The classes are modeled in order of what a caregiver will go through once their loved one is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or other related dementia. Professionals in each field will be presenting the remaining classes: Surviving Challenging Behaviors, Effective Communications, Medications/
Research, and Choices of Care (community resources).
