Visiting Angels “Alzheimer's Caregiver Project” classes start in Debary Florida

SANFORD, Fla. - Nov. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Visiting Angels Homecare has partnered with Senior Home Care. This partnership allows the “Alzheimer’s Caregiver Project” classes to be available at no cost to any Alzheimer’s or other related dementia caregiver in the community.

The “Alzheimer’s Caregiver Project” is a series of six classes addressing the unique issues of caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. The classes are once a month for six months and this series is starting November 21st, 2013 at the Debary Public Library, 200 N. Charles R. Beal Blvd., Debary, FL 32713.

The classes are modeled in order of what a caregiver will go through once their loved one is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or other related dementia. Professionals in each subject will be presenting the following classes: Memory Loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer's Disease: The Basics, Legal and Financial Matters, Surviving Challenging Behaviors, Effective Communications, Medications/Research, and the last class is Choices of Care (community resources).
