Nov. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Greg Pitts is known for being generous when it comes to charities. For the past several years, he has contributed original artwork to the Russell Life Skills and Reading Foundation and in keeping with his mission of “giving because he cares,” this year will be no exception.

Mr. Pitts' contribution for 2012 is an original creation painted with specific color harmonies that give the piece a unique appearance when viewed with polarized 3D glasses.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of this art will go to the Foundation whose mission is "empowering, inspiring, and encouraging at-risk youth to become successful and productive citizens."  This organization’s focus is particularly meaningful for Mr. Pitts as he comes from an inner-city single parent home and himself could have been considered “at-risk” like many of the participants

in the Russell Life Skills Foundation.

Mr. Pitts states that he remembers the only books he could take home to read came from RIF (Reading Is Fundamental) and he was allowed only one or two books per year.

This year's "Arts and Athletes" Event and Silent Auction will be held Monday November 19, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Rick Case Luxe Collection, 158000 Rick Case Way in Weston, FL.
